BASICS NOTION FOR DRIVING TO MADAGASCAR
To make it, first of all, we invite you to learn more about the national roads and the tracks condition to Madagascar:
- The average speed for driving to Madagascar is 75km per hour due to the presence of “potholes”, sinuous and graded roads.
- Traffic is more intense on national roads, especially the RN2 and the RN7.
- Be very diligent when driving for your safety and not attract problems (the road is not just for cars in Madagascar)
- Self-drive tours is safe for only some parts of Madagascar.The selfdrive roads are indicated on the road map below.
- Apart from that, a minimum of knowledge in mechanics will be an exceptional asset in your trip but this is not obligatory

SELF-DRIVE RENTAL CONDITIONS
- First day trial with assistant to learn more about the car / mechanic assistant needs on coast track
- Possibility of car delivery (Antananarivo) to airport or your hotel or in any city to Madagascar
- On-road driving time from 06AM to 08PM / on town city no limited hours
- All rental days are due
- Taxes and insurance car included
- The journey per day is limited to a maximum of 500km for safety reasons / limted avearage on 80kmsper hours driving
- An “open” itinerary must be communicated before departure
- Deposit of 1500 Euros for the car warranty upon pick-up
- A valid driving license (national or international) without any offense
- A letter of commitment on honor for well maintain of the vehicle
- A vehicle repair and replacement guarantee in case of full breakdown (with assistant)
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IN CASE OF BREAKDOWN?
We have our own vehicle and maintain our cars ourselves in our garage. Breakdowns are very rare but taking into account the state of the roads and traffic, in the event of a breakdown, inform as soon as possible please the responsable. They will direct you to the nearest town or find a car to take you as quickly as possible. Use your local SIM to call us and secure the car at any costs by locking it we will talk to villagers to guard it by your phone. Our agents will arrive on site within 24 hours and will try to fix this within 12 hours as well. In case of a total breakdown, we will provide you with another replacement car but this will be followed by an assistant. Obviously, all this requires organization (time) and understanding on your part.
